Modern high-tech warfare is increasing requirements of a new radar-the beyond-visual range radar. As an important component, the radar transmitter has the characteristics of high power, high frequency, and narrow pulse application domain. Electric vacuum microwave amplifier tube system radar transmitter has taken the dominant position in the field of beyond-visual range radar.By analyzing the modern radar electric vacuum transmitter’s development, the thesis applies the way of theoretical analysis, engineering design and optimized implementation, and studies out the system technology of new X-band, full coherent broadband, and high power pulse TWT transmitter. The thesis works out the synthetic technology of high voltage power supply power and modern system control technology of high-power synthetic power supply suitable for this transmitter engineering. The thesis adopts the rigid modulator of flexible system pulse width and strong adaptability in load impedance. Based on comprehensively analyzing the operational principle, the thesis put forward the high voltage large current IGBT series modulator technology, which has applied in the real project. The thesis applies the way of engineering design and optimized implementation, and studies out the technology of radar transmitter, which has high working frequency, high output power, high working frequency band, high instantaneous bandwidth, high reliability, high efficiency. By experiments, it verifies the equipment’s technical function and actual performance. It laid the foundation for the development of the radar transmitter’s technology.
