Possessing the strong ability of anti-jamming, anti-fading, anti-interception as well as the application of multiple access, Frequency hopping(FH) communication is widely used in the modern military communication, especially in the tactical anti-jamming radio with the purpose of ensuring the modern army to build certain reliable data and voice communication under some adverse electromagnetic surroudings. Synchronization is the key of FH communication, which can convey information and exert the advantage of FH communication only after the realization of high-speed, accurate synchronization. Meanwhile, synchronization is also the difficulty of the development of FH system, which needs supplicated design especially in the fast frequency hopping(FFH). To meet the requirement of practical development of FH communication system, this dissertation made a fairly complete and thorough research into FH synchronization technology and its specific circuit. Besides, an TOD-based synchronous scheme was implemented with the use of DSP and FPGA, and it has been successfully applied in a FFH radio.After the introduction of FH communication's principle, this dissertation focuses on simulated analyzing of FH communication,FH synchronization scheme and its circuit design with the detailed description of the debugging course of FPGA. Some results of specification test and application are given out at last.
