Radar display is an important component of radar system. Because of the small display capacity and low brightness, and difficulty to display secondary information, traditional radar random scan display is being replaced by radar raster scan display. This paper introduces the principles, characteristics and key technology of radar B type raster scan display, and designs the general scheme of original video information of the guide display according to the general requirements. It puts forward a radar once video information processing technique: "distance compress", to effectively improve SNR, and perform signal digitization and pretreatment. It chooses dual-port RAM-VRAM dual memory structure and FPGA technology to implement the persistence control and display of original video information. And also puts forward a simple but effective analog mix method to implement the synchronization and mix display of original and secondary radar information taking advantage of the software and hardware resources of existing computer display card and graphic controller based on FPGA. At the end of this paper, the possible development of radar raster scan display is simply introduced.Plans above and key technologies have been implemented in the sample machine. It has been ratified by general design department.
