This paper describes the design of the measure system of frequency of piezoelectricity crystal based on DSP, and discusses detailedly the hardware circuit constructrion and software design.The paper firstly introduces Digital Signal Processer (DSP) instead of low speed Singlechip Microprocesser into the kind of measure system. The DSP chip does mainly such works as producing control logical signal and collecting external pulse signal and calculating resonance frequency of crystal flake. With giving birth to steady frequency scan signal, the Phase Lock Loop(PLL) circuit is the most impoprtant circuit part in the design. AS a fountdation, the DSP chip and PLL technology and Programable Logical Device(PLD) will be described detailedly in the second chapter. The third chapter mostly explains the hardware device and its principle, and presents partial circuit diagram. The forthchapter analyzes the compartmentalization of software module and the performance of all modules. In the end, this paper presents the improvement scheme based on Control Area Net(CAN) field bus to establish communication,hence to meet the requirement of modern management.This paper presents a new method to measure frequency of piezoelectricity crystal in the process of grinding on line.lt can control automatically the thickness of crystal. It places the chip DSP-F240 as control core, and produces driving frequency with Phase Lock Loop.The crystal will resonate at a driving frequency and the signal of resonating will be captured on time. By disposing and analyzing the resonating signal, the frequency of crystal will be read out. An apparatus measuring frequency of crystal on line based on the method has been designed, and has illustrated that the well-pleasing effect can be gained by the control system.
