Collected hunderds of newspapers and periodicals,this essay enveloped all conditations of newspapers and perodicals at the middle part of Jiangsu Province(the city of Yangzhou, Taizhou and Nantong) from the early part of 20century to 1949.The essay was divided four stages.The first stage named start up and choose stage:from the early part of 20century to 1919.The second stage named vigorous develop stage:from 1919 to 1937.The third stage named tortuous separatment stage:from 1937 to 1945.The final stage named recover and end stage:from 1945 to 1949.On each stage,the conditations of the age of found , put in circulation, area, character, personnel, edition and word size, communitation, printing and advertisement of every newspapers and periodicals were introduced in this essay.Come through above-mentioned,this essay put up a overall understanding of the newspapers and periodicals at the middle part of Jiangsu Province from the early part of 20century to 1949.Furthermore,the essay explained the professionalism, the legalizing of environment the melting subjectively of character and the subject of the runs of the undertaking of the newspapers and periodicals through five observative ways:the identity of the founders, the meaning of the names , the aim, the content and management tactics.Combined the comparison to the other areas of the country,the eassy drawed a conclusion:the process of the early modermization of undertaking of the newspapers and periodicals rose and fallen on different stage,but in the better-than-average level of the province and country rouguly.By the way.some special cases was put up to discussed.
