People'aspiration for information and the following increase in internet,so there is greatly movement in quantity of current in the internet.The rising speed of internet host computers which have being supposed the Web server is striking to us.The same time,the more and more families require computers,so,it is common thing that many families use the Web services for sending photos in the internet. digital cameras that can digilize datum may export a gigantic mount of datum, and these digilized datum is more transmited. but data quantity of digitized photos is greatly much. MPGA actival photos need more memory capacity,for example,to show 1024*1024*24 bit color with the speed of 30 frames/second is to generate kilomegas of datum, so ,to transfer these datum needs internet whose speed is over millions of bytes per second.widely known,how to serially transfer those datum whether from user to internet or from internet to user is our concerning things. This dissertation discuss the issue of how to receive and transmit high-speed serial datum: the first discussing those problems what we should think much of during designing a high-speed digital circuit;in the following, disuss the EPON.in the third chapter introducing design of broad band access network(EPON);in fourth chapter,the fifth chapter and sixth chapter detailed intrduce how to design the GMII interface of EPON,carry through debug and give results under many conditions.
