| In recent years the Embedded System has been evolving towards the one founded on what is marked by Internet. With the advent of Post-PC era, the Embedded System is bound to be faced with increasingly high demand in terms of its application, while inevitably it will be brought into more and more widespread scope of use in our daily life. Meanwhile, the demand of the Embedded System for Graphical User Interface (GUI) is looming progressively large and urgent, corresponding to the rising sophistication in hardware and to the mounting demand from the user.Nowadays an enormous change has occurred in both the Embedded Operating System and its application program module, into which the underlying ideas and principles of Component Design have been dynamically introduced. In contrast with the traditional one characterized by a fixed architecture, the updated Embedded System features flexible structure.This thesis expatiates on the preliminary research achievement of GUI on the foundation of the Embedded Component technique, through which is attained SWGUI, the Component-based GUI Support System. In the research process, a remarkable insight is obtained into such a Component Module on the platform of heterogenerous system as CORBA, as well as into the way to develop Component software. An attempt is also made to probe into the relevant issues in practice that proves rewarding. The Middleware Module is constructed in accordance with the Embedded System by cutting down MICO/CORBA; furthermore, based on the Embedded Operating System, the Embedded GUI Component is designed and accomplished by the use of Oriented Object Technique. |
