FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System) is an automatic system with high technology and much investment. As a result of its complexity, developing control and scheduling system for FMS needs much time, money and technology.The development of configuration software employs OOT(Object-Oriented Technology). The software that uses the method not only spends less time, low cost to develop, and provides friendly HMI(Human Machine Interface), but also obtains high reconfigurations, reliabilities and expansibilities. However, for the complexity of FMS, the configuration software can not be used in FMS effectively.The wide application of Web and OPC(OLE for Process Control) in FMS facilitates the communication among devices or between devices and computers. They provide the basic technology for rapid development of the control and scheduling system.The paper aims at pursuing a feasible method that the developer applies the technology of designing configuration software and OPC to realize the reconfiguration of the control and scheduling system of FMS. The paper divides the control and scheduling system into four modules: the real-time data acquisition module, the data server module, the HMI module and the control-scheduling module. Basing on the structure of the control and scheduling system, the author designs a control and scheduling system which has three functions: HMI can realize the rapid formation of the HMI of FMS; OPCLinker can be used to communicate in real time with OPCServers which are designed for devices; Data server can make HMI communicate with OPCLinker in real time. Following these, the paper use the idea of the rapid development of the control and scheduling system and three developed tools in Desktop FMS. The application verifies the feasibility and availability to shorten the development time, reduce costs, and improve the reconfigurations of the control and scheduling system.Finally, basing on the summarization of what have done, further study and some suggestions on the control and scheduling system of FMS are discussed.
