Nowadays, with the rapid development of personal communication, a lot of communication systems are introduced into this domain. And they are continually updating themselves. While there are different communication systems in different communication services, such as modulation mode and band and transmitting rate and MAC and so on. This makes it difficult to communication globally. Almost all wireless transceivers deal with signals in pipeline or are realized with Ics. They are not compatible with each other. So it is important to pay more effort in researching new multi-band and multi-rate and multi-mode intelligent wireless transceivers with updatable and open structures.This article introduces the realization of a multi-band and multi-rate software radio wireless hardware platform. And it focuses on the compatibility of the platform with some different kinds of signals.Chapter one gives the concept and history of software radio, at the same time gives the key technologies.Chapter two introduces the theories of software radio hardware.Chapter three describes the frame of the hardware platform, gives the functionality of all the modules on it, and presents signal-processing flow. In second half of the chapter, the frame and functionality of RF is described. At last, the results are shown.Chapter four gives the detail configurations of the software radio hardware in frequency hopping application, and how these devices work in this situation.Chapter five brings forward some new ways to deal with the problems in the now hardware platform, and points out the direction of next work.
