Frequency hopp ing technology is one of the important military commu-nication skills,and also widely used in c ivilia n communicatio n fie ld,the excellentperformance in anti-jamming,anti-interceptio n and forming communicationnetworking makes it pla y an important role in modern communicatio n.This paperstudied the basic theory of frequency hopping technolo gy,and basing on itcomp lete the design of a baseband processing unit for a high-speed broadbandFH system us ing software radio technology,the n imp le ment the basic communi-cation functions from the transmitter to the receiver via hardware devices.On the hardware side,basd on a finis hed baseband deve lopment board, wecomp lete the configuration and debugging work of the necessary chip in order toguarantee the norma l operatio n of hardware circuit.The chips inc lude: the clockchip that supplies clock signa ls for the entire system,the DDS chip that providesstable carrier,the transforming chip between analog signal and digita l signa l thatguarantee the imple mentation of software radio processing,the FPGA and itsconfiguration chip that comp lete the subsequent digita l signa l processing.Through configuration of the inner control registers makes them work as required,and achieve the appropriate parameters at the same time.On the software side,comp lete the design of baseband processing modules intransmitter and receiver by ISE, inc lud ing DPSK modulation and demodulatio n,frequency control of DDS and synchronous of the FH syste m. In the design offrequency hopping synchro nization, us ing a self-sync hronous method by slid ingadjustment based on energy detection, makes the receiver comp lete acquis ition inone FH cycle, and tracking error within400ns after stable.At last,we comp lete the connection between transmitter and receiver via aRF channe l, and imp le ment communication, frequency hopping speed20kHop/s,3hopping point. On the receiver side, verified the correctness ofdemodulation by se nding the FPGA output datas to the oscilloscope andobserving on it, at the same time studied some key signals of basebandprocessing modules via Chipscope of ISE, guaranteed the norma l operation ofevery major block, verified the the feasib ility of sche me and the correctness ofsystem.
