Liaoning Institute Of Library And Information Resource Management Study

With the continuous development of the reform, the size of higher education is enlarging constantly and meanwhile the higher education is developing with the globalized orientation. At this time, people's view of value and thinking pattern are changing, too. Library, as an important part of a university, besides serving teaching, has the ability of supporting the university to carry on high-level and multi-subject scientific research and the ability of training high-level and research-oriented talents. How to support the development of a university and an individual study is a question worth thinking and discussing carefully. The information source management (ISM) of a library is tightly related to a university's discipline developing and the orientation of scientific research. It has an important meaning for improving the level of running a university, so libraries face the test of how to actualize an effective management on the information sources. Thus a deep thought and research on the libraries' ISM during the process of higher education's reform has a significant theoretic value and practical meaning.This thesis, taking the library of Liaoning Institute of Technology as the main studying part, using lots of theoretic argumentation, practical research and getting rich theories and experiences from former talents and aiming at the library's many problems, such as a lack of centralized ISM system, no healthy technological system of ISM, information talents' not adapting to the requirements of ISM, information culture's lag, the neglect to team construction, using the analyzing ways of nature determining, quality fixing, direction deciding, documents, summing up and examples, discusses about the countermeasure of solving the above problems at several aspects: how to create the inner environment of information source's innovation and development; how to perfect the encouraging system of information talents and how to perfect information talents' technological system. This thesis points out the view and way of creating the inner environment with the goal of innovating and developing information source; perfecting the technological system of ISM; training and using talents, motivating with the inner and outer encouragement and constructing a high-quality team, aiming at exerting the information source's maximal benefits, which- will have a practical instructive meaning to the ISM work of the library not only at Liaoning Institute of Technology, but also at other universities, which is in the process of higher education.
