The University Library Information Resources Allocation

With the rapid development of the computer technology and network communication technology,the libraries in the universities are under a full-scale technical innovation. The construction and development of the libraries have a close connection with the universities' construction and development, and the formers' standard is an important indication of the latter's general condition. Therefore, one main target of the libraries in the universities is to organize and coordinate the work of literature and information in order to realize the optimization of the literature and information. Nowadays, the libraries in the universities have some common deficiency in the optimization of the literature and information with different degrees. The first sign is the deficiency of the total amount of the literature and information (caused by the expansion of number of the undergraduates) and the low-level repeated constructions as the Database of the Names of Chinese Scientific Magazines has been constructed by many libraries. There are even more repeated constructions in the Database of the Name of Chinese Books while the contents with higher academic values and thorough information are missing. The second sign is the lack of cooperation and the distinguishing feature of the databases, while the databases are far from standard and specification.The optimization of the literature and information in the libraries of the universities is the necessary requirement of the developing age. In this article we tried to make a deep discussion in the serial problems caused by the integral construction of the literature and information in the universities through the meaning, method and measure of the optimization of the literature and information in the libraries in the universities with the background of researching on the harmonious society. Especially, the construction of literature sources in the digital age is thoroughly discussed. What's more, based on the distinguishing feature of agriculture and forestry and the course study practices in our university, the necessity and feasibility of sharing and joint development of the literature and information in the libraries of the agriculture and forestry universities are analyzed and some practical problems are given thorough consideration. Cooperation in the digital age is the certain direction of the information collecting work in the libraries of the universities, in our opinion the scientification of the information collecting work is an important way to realize the optimization of the literature and information. The main target and innovation of the article is how to realize the optimization of the literature and information rationally and scientifically in the age of digit and network.Through our investigation, we consider that the optimization of the literature and information in the libraries of the universities should be in accordance to the developing direction of the age and we should take timely and effective action to realize optimization of the sources according to the developing situation of the universities and the increasing needs of the users. Only in this way the function of the libraries can be fully utilized and the construction and development of the libraries' information sources can be tuned into the circle of the sustainable development.
