With its good expansibility and high ratio of performance/price, cluster has been widely applied in high-performance computing areas such as CFD, Computer Structure Dynamics, theoretic physics, real-time simulation, image processing and weather forecast, etc.'XianFeng' net is a new technology of parallel computing, which is fit for cluster and first brought forward by the Department of Computer Science, NPU. The technology of control- token routed switching is used in it .It has simple protocol and a good real-time performance.In this dissertation, we introduce one of the most important part of 'XianFeng' network-the design and implement of 'XianFeng' network card.The author deeply research the module and protocol used in 'XianFeng' net, VHDL language, EDA manner, PLD technology and PCI bus interface technology. On the basis of these studies, the author design and implement 'XianFeng' network card with Altera Company's FPGA product-10K30E chip.The experiment on 'XianFeng' network card shows that it can work well.
