For the purpose of overcoming the heavy and complicated calculation and drafting and formalization difficulty of conventional design of construction vehicle, changing the backward situation that the design and manufacture of construction vehicle still depend on the two-dimensional engineering drawings and seeking a theory or a way to design and manufacture a machine quickly and with high-quality, taking the wheel loader as an example, which is a typical model of shovel-transport machinery, and combining the research subject—the CAD system of construction machinery, cooperated with the research section of the New Yellow River Construction Machinery Limited Co. (NYRCMLC), studied on the computer aided parameterized simulation design of the driving bridge's technique shape of the wheel loader by comprehensive utilization of the simulation design theory and the parameterized design software Pro/Engineer, a type of three-dimensional entity modeling system according to the technique and drawing data of the wheel loader ZL50C's driving bridge and the front and rear frames made in the NYRCMLC to realize the automated design and manufacture of construction vehicle.(1) Generalized the development of conventional design of construction vehicle and the mechanical CAD / CAM. Keeping close connection with the characteristics of structure and performance of the wheel loader' driving bridge, clarified clearly the purpose, significance and basic thinking way of studying the subject; Stated the parameterized design theory, the secondary development of Pro/Engineer and the key technique to develop the application program of Pro/Toolkit and made it clear to realize the interface between Pro/Engineer and MFC; Introduced the principle and way to lay out the path of head files and library files of Pro/Toolkit program, register and run the program in Visual C++ 6.0. These research work lay the theoretical foundation for the study on the computer aided parameterized simulation design of driving bridge of the wheel loader.(2) Comprehensively using the parameterized design theory and Pro/Engineer, carried on the study on the computer aided parameterized simulation design of the details and components of the driving bridge of the wheel loader. Put emphasis on the secondary development of Pro/Engineer by Pro/Toolkit in Visual C++ 6.0 and developed a parameterized simulation design system of the driving bridge of construction vehicle, which is of audio-visual and friendly dialogue interface that the needed machine parts' three-dimensional models are generated immediately when the corresponding basic parameters inputted. Then making use of the system, completed the three-dimensional solid parameterized modeling design and the generation of two-dimensional engineering drawings of the details as well as the subjective assembly of the driving bridge according to the technique and drawing data of the wheel loader ZL50C's driving bridge, finally obtained the structural shape of the newly designed driving bridge; Furthermore, carried out the kinematical simulation of the walking mechanism of the wheel loader according to its subjective assembly construction by use of the Pro/Mechanism to check the machine part's reasonable assembly structure as well as the kinematical performance of the mechanism.The research results indicate that the study on the computer aided simulation design of the construction vehicle's driving bridge by using the parameterized design theory and the Pro/Engineer makes the no-paper automated design and the computer aided performance imitations reach the practical application, which is of importance for overcoming the heavy and complicated calculation and drafting and formalization difficulty of conventional design method, speeding up the design and drafting of machinery and equipments, lowering the development expense, advancing the renewal of machine products, improving the machine's quality, performances and reliability as well as their competition in the market.
