Waveform analyzer is one of the most important signal measuring instruments, which can accurately analyze the characteristics of the signal in time-domain and frequency-domain. It can also analyze the relativity characteristics of the signal. With the increasing of electronic system's complexity and the extending of its working frequency range, waveform analyzer has found widespread applications and got rapid development. This dissertation discusses the design of a kind of VXI waveform analyzer. Based on the describing of the whole system structure and the basic theory of the 200MSa/s signal acquiring and DSP processing module, it is discussed in detail that the realization of the functional circuits in the module. The modification and test methodology of the module are also introduced in the dissertation. The test result is given.Chapter 1 introduces the waveform analyzer's applications in modern electronic measurement and its development in the world. The main research topics are also introduced in this chapter. Chapter 2 deals with the system architecture and the principle of the waveform analyzer. Based on the discussion of the function, the structure and the operation principle of the "200MSa/s signal acquiring and DSP processing module", the sub-modules of the circuit are dissertated. In the third chapter, the realizations of the functional circuits are discussed in details such as the realization of the "200MSa/s sampling by parallel ADC", the "high-speed storage of the converted data with different phases", the "trigger controlling", the "high-speed transfer by DMA" and so on. Additionally, the computer simulation of the "data dividing circuit with four different phases (0,90, 180,270)" is given in this chapter.Chapter 4 discusses the circuits' debugging and test. The focuses dissertated in this chapter are the method and the procedure of circuitsdebugging, the diagnosis of troubles appeared in the circuit's operation and the trouble-shootings.
