With the remarkable development of Information Technology, Informatization becomes much more important in Manufacturing Industry. As a key number of the supply chain in the whole mechanical industry, Mechanical Part Manufacturers are facing the same IT impact. First, MRP was appeared in manufacturing industry, then was MRP II, and now is ERP. Behind these systems, the contents of the enterprise MIS have been enlarged and enriched. ERP mainly focuses on enterprise planning, and doesn't totally cover the production management and production control. With computer application goes on, enterprise imformatization level goes up, enterprise recognizes that plant level MIS, so-called MES, is really indispensable. MES is a MIS system for workshop, which is standing between the high level of planning management system and the low industry control level. It can precisely schedule, dispatch, trace, supervise the workshop production information and process information. Furthermore, it is a basic tool to realize the agile manufacturing in workshop. MES supplies real time information for operators and executors.Reconfigurability of MIS is based on the former software and hardware resources, and by modifying the original structure and functions, enable company to meet the market demand. As a plant level MIS, MES should have the same reconfigurability. In this thesis, a future picture of mechanical part manufacturers was introduced and the essential characteristics of MES were discussed in the first chapter. In the second chapter, reconfigurable MES was elucidated. It included two main parts. One included business modeling of enterprise operation and variation analysis. The other included the methodology of reconstruct enterprise information system. In the third chapter, according to the manufacturing characteristics of mechanical part suppliers, a schema was advanced to improve plant management process efficiency. Using the method provided in the second chapter, UML Modeling processes and a corresponding instance were delivered to describe how such enterprises reconstruct MES as well. In the following fourth chapter, Database design and sj'steni realization based on UML Model were indicated in detail. In die last fifth chapter, die conclusion and die future work of this paper were addressed.
