On The Function Of Professional News Organizations In The Public Opinion In The Network Communication Environment

The objective of this thesis is the consensus function of the network news media. The purpose is to research on the consensus function of professional news organizations in the environment of network communication. The theoretical logic of this thesis is just the realistic logic presented in the process of network communication, with a hope to guide the news practice. While reviewing the problems concerned, this thesis emphasizes on providing fresh angles. By making use of the achievements and methods in such disciplines as consensus studies, mass communication, and news theories, this thesis strives to analyze the characteristics and evolution of consensus in the process of network communication from a multi-dimension point of view. In the aspect of language, this thesis strives to maintain the regularity and self-determination required in the study of mass communication. This thesis consists of three parts:The first part expounds the influence of the network environment on mass communication, with an emphasis on the difficulties on the guidance of the consensus.The second part deals with the characteristics and the process of formation of the network consensus. Firstly, the thesis generalizes the development of network media historically. Then the thesis analyzes the network consensus from the four characteristicsof"transparency", "superficiality","diffusion",and "explosiveness".Lastly, from the general principles of the formation of consensus, the thesis researches on the formation process of the network consensus which is fictitious.The third part expounds on the obligations of professional news organizations and the correspondingmethods that should be taken. The third part is made up of two chapters, which form the core of the thesis .The first chapter, "The Consensus Function Of The Network News Media", discusses the function of the network news media to guide the consensus, and on the basis of that, expounds the many advantages enjoyed by China's news organizations in guiding the consensus.The second chapter ,"The Strategies And Operations Of Guiding The Network Consensus", is the key part of this thesis, which expounds the guidance of the consensus from the two aspects of theory and practice.
