Soap-based Home Network Interconnection Agreements To Design

With the Internet more and more popular, the market in the home network domain increase dramatically. Many communication protocols such as HAVi, UPnP, OSGi were developed to support the device's communication in home network domain which, However, keep the home network away from popularization and unification. A SOAP based home network communication protocol is presented in this paper to build up a unified communicate system by including the characteristics of the current protocols, such as Jini's Service Idea, the Residential Gateway based Designing of OSGi, and the Universal Plug and Play Technology of UPnP. Firstly, we introduce the knowledge about the communication protocol. The second part focuses on designing the architecture and workflow of the protocol. The protocol is divided into five main parts: Addressing, Service Locator, Service Description, Service Control and Event Notification Architecture are detailed. Thirdly, we propose the way to realize a home network management system based on the protocol we designed. Some important technical issues on the implementation of home network system and the perspective of the system are discussed at last section of the paper.
