Based on the background of information fusion processing of multi-modal composite control-and-guide system, this paper designs and develops a high speed parallel information processing system using four ADSP-21060s.This information processing system fully utili/.es ADSP-21060's characteristic that supporting parallel computing, constructs a mixed architecture based on shared bus and link ports. This paper also designs and discusses the system in terms of Design For Test (DFT) and Real Time Operation System (RTOS), and brings up a reasonable solution for design and developing of high-speed real-time signal processing system. It analyze the matter that the subject faced at the same time. This paper also makes an effort to describe the method of hardware debugging, system testing and the software loading, which may offer some meaningful reference and guide for the similar system developing in the future.The situation of current digital signal processing field is discussed in the prolegomenon.Chapter two analyses the algorithm of the millimeter-microwave radar and infrared composite controlling-and-guiding system and makes fully analysis of the software at first. Chip selection based on the software analysis is mentioned and the ADSP-21060 is fully introduced later.Chapter three studies the design of the system architecture and interface. The circuit design and the system working theory are also illuminated by detail.Chapter four dwells on system debugging. It emphasizes the hardware debugging and basic developing procedure, especially the communication control between multi-DSPs, and between the target and computer. It also shows how to setup DSP system developing environment including the installation of VisualDSP++2.0 and the Summit ICE hardware simulator.The last chapter-chapter five is about the software loading. The key part of the fusion processing system software loading is emphasized. At the same chapter, the performance of the whole system under this background is presented.The general work of this paper is summarized and the farther research direction is pointed out in the last chapter.
