Computer is essentially changing our mode of working, entertainment and communication. Efficiency and function of CPU\ NeU Software and peripheral equipment are constantly improved. Displays, which contact with people directly are experiencing updating .The traditional heavy CRT displays with high radiation and pollution are gradually replaced by light LCD which are energy saving, non-radiation and non-radiance . At the same time, the interface of video display- computer will be transformed from analog into digital. At present , most of the video displays are connected by analog VGA interface, VGA means the lowest standard of PC display, it is now a outdated technique.On September 1998, the DDWG (digital display work group) was founded in Internet developer forum , DDWG embark on the standard of the digital display interface ,and realized the Digital Video Interface (DVI),and published the DVI -1.0 specification in 2000.Through building a experimental platform, this paper get the performance data of different display interface of LCD, prove DVI's feasibility and advance ,provide practice warranty for the DVI usage of other multimedia display terminal. The paper makes studies of the follows:1. Compare and Research of different display technology.2. Compare and Research of different display interface .3. Research of DVI-1.0 specification.4. Building experimental platform, get performance data of the DVI-1 specification compliant analog VGA and digital DVI.Experiment has proved that DVI which is a kind of feasible and advanced technology will replace analog interface ultimately, and the DVI will be used widely.
