Computer-aided Process Design Can Be Customized System

The Customization approach of Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) Systems is researched in this paper, which includes the self-maintainability and the transplantation of CAPP Systems corresponding to the individual process-planning characteristic of particular enterprises. And then, the customization consists of both the customizable workflow engine and the every customizable functional processing module of CAPP Systems, such as the Resource subsystem, card subsystem, report subsystem and so on.At first in the paper, the workflow method in software design is introduced, and the enterprise workflow is described as the activity and the rule of dependence and retransmission. The orientation of workflow engine is defined based on the actual requirement of CAPP Systems, and then the structure abstracting from the actual enterprise workflow is applied in Relational Data Base Manager System (RDBMS), including organization, information and control model. So, the change of the enterprise workflow and the change of the CAPP system' s transplantation are well supported by the customizable workflow.Secondly, the Customizable Functional Processing Modules of the CAPP is discussed . In Resource subsystem, an originality innovate storage structure of Resource is presented, which detaches the variety factor from the relative stable database schema. So the process resource can be customized by users freely . In Card subsystem, the traditional storage structure is improved. More simple structure, including table and cells, is given in order to support the variation of Kind and Format . In report table subsystem, a method of self-defining query based relation algebra is presented. All of the research above is implemented with programs, which run efficiently and steadily.At last, the result of the research in the paper has been applied in a large national enterprise in Dalian city, and the fund support is given by Dalian Science and Technology Bearu. The practice of software in the enterprise shows that the approaches of the paper are effective and practicable.
