Virtual Design System Based On Web And Database Methods

According to the Virtual Reality, Virtual Design and the application of the web, the paper researches the methods for the web-based and database-supported virtual design system. Based on the VRML technology platform, the paper integrates many web technologies and takes advantage of VRML, HTML, Java and JavaScript computer languages to program application for virtual design. Using this method, we create a virtual design system based on web and database which system architecture is a B/S.The virtual design system preliminary implement some elemental characteristics and functions. This virtual design system provides designer a 3D virtual design environment. In this environment, the designer can use the first person to move freely, and can control the object interactively in real time.The paper does some basic researches on the method of VRML application, so it has some practical value.
