Virtual Reality technology has been widely applied in many different fields, it has large development potentiality and good prospect. At present, the Virtual Reality System in Internet exists three problems to some extend including model complexity, realistic representation of drawing and real time. A relatively perfecter model is: when entering the Virtual Reality System, users can be provided a virtual environment with intensive realistic representative, and users can interact with system. When users submit a query request, the system can execute it and show the query result automatically.The purpose of this study is to discuss the scene modeling, interaction, walkthrough and imformation search technology in virtual desktop system. The author studied Virtual Reality technology deeply, analyzed and compared various sorts of modeling technology by reading a great deal of correlated document from home and aboard. Basing on this, the construction scheme of Virtual Reality System, which adopts the technology of VRML and Browser's plug-in, is proposed.First, according to the clues of virtual environment construction flow, the author studies the shape node and group node technology, puts forward ways of orderly proceeding for complicated scene datas, completes the scene object modeling, node adding, emendation and testing, and proposes ways of quadratic medeling according to the complication and anthenticity of architechture modeling. Secondly, the article discusses the programming interactive and non-programming interactive technology, finds out ways of object controlling based on VRML sensor and Java Script, relying on these technology, ways of multi interacton modeling are brought forward based on 3D object, VRMLScript, JavaApplet. Thirdly, the seizing methods of 3D objects are researched in this article, such as establishing outer successor for 3D image objects, forming a series of indexes table for the sake of fast search, these are the conditions to realize the bidirectional demanding. Additionally, model texture ditmapping, LOD technology, code-reusing (DEF/USE), antitype-consealing (PROTO) and favorable scene technologies based on Anchor and Inline for exchanges and formulation of scenes are discussed. Basing on this, the article proposes the construction scheme of Virtual Reality System, and tests the browsing effects. The result implies:every part of system goes well expect the enrichment of scenery arrangment, which needs to be more abundant, the system testifies that thefacticity and interaction in the scheme is feasible to a certain degree.This system also adapts to the 3D construction of virtual cities and reconstruction of old cities. From the long view, we can develop several VRML mtergrated items for common uses, thus, more convenient and efficient development of virtual reality system such as modeling, ditmapping, interactive setting, animation, effect preview, Web-publishing will become possible.
