Radiation Medical Image Standard, And Leadtools Medical Image Processing

The purpose of this paper is to provide image functions for a telemedicine consultation software system.The most important topics of the paper are briefly summarized as following.First, the standards which are closely related with telemedicine image, such as ACR-NEMA DICOM and ACR Standard for Teleradiology, were discussed. ACR Standard for Teleradiology and ACR Standard for Digital Image Data Management were chosen as the reference standards for the image functions for the consultation software system, with addition of image functions for more image modality; while DICOM was proposed as the standard if the consultation system would be upgraded as a subsystem of a PACS.Second, based on the understanding of the theory of the image functions, the image functions were realized with LEADTOOLS. An image class with adequate properties and methods was designed and realized, which not only provided image functions for the software in accordance with the established standard, but would benefit the expansion of the software as well.
