PACS system, which makes the x-ray devices conforming to DICOM3.0 standards such as CR, DR, CT, MRI, DSA, ultrasound, X-ray examination of gastrointestinal tract and other medical imaging can exist in the form of digital information, makes the management of huge information becomes very easy. Medical image browsing is one of the basic functions of the PACS system. Its direct interaction with the user, is an important part of PACS workstation. However, many of medical image browser software are still not well integrated into the PACS system, some others can generally provide a single sequence, such as plain scan, enhanced scan and delayed scan,with single window or muti window browsing. The doctors can not easily be compared analysis of image characteristics of different periods and different sequences of the same case or cases. This also lead a low efficiency of diagnosis of image in clinical. So it is very necessary to design a medical image browser of PACS system, which can provide a muti window, muti scan sequence of image browsing.In this paper, through expert consultation, literature research and analyzing of the function of existing PACS medical image browser, find out the existing deficiencies of the existing medical image browser, we proposed to develop a medical image browser of PACS system based on Delphi development tool.It is different in the various versions of the browser, which can realize multi window, multi sequence a variety of algorithms, parallel display. In the refinement of the functional requirements of the system and non functional requirements, formulated the technical route of the design and development of the system, first has carried on the modeling of the system database using Power Designer tools, and then use Visio and StarUML to analyze and design the system business logic, to resolve outstanding technical difficulties in the development of the in the process of the system, such as extraction and DICOM image conversion technology of DICOM image information, the final realization of the whole system and the test run in the hospital.The system not only provides multiple sequence, multi window of medical image browsing, clinical commonly used functions such as image conversion and image adjustmentare also includes in our system. Among them, including image adjustment to adjust the image size, image contrast and brightness of the image conversion function support physician; medical image into image format common consciousness at any time, anywhere, convenient access, diagnosis. After the actual use of the test, this system has realized the parallel synchronous read the medical digital image, through the PACS access to the RIS/HIS system to store patient image data can be very convenient, and a patient image data from other places to check the copy. At the same time more convenient for doctors to window parallel reading, analysis, comparison, judgment, evaluation of patients with one or more times a large number of image data check. Medical image diagnosis method is simple, comprehensive, high efficiency for clinical. It has a very practical significance in further improvingthe doctor reading speed, reducing the burden of clinicians, improving work efficiency, and reducing the occurrence of errors in judgment.
