An effective system analysis method is needed in information system development process. BPR (Business Process Reengineering) provides a new idea for information development: business process-oriented and business process reengineering.An example is illustrated in this paper, which is a science fund information management system of Liaoning Province. And based on this example, a kind of business process-oriented information system analysis method is introduced. Firstly makes an exhaustive analysis to the business process of fund management, and then reengineers the process to the questions existing, and carries on the information-based transformation further. Then, on this basis, the functions designing and data structures designing of the system can be completed.Applying this kind of business process-oriented system analysis method, information technology is organically integrated with management transformation, and information system can serve for management better.
