The objective of this dissertation is focused upon the development and implementation of Laboratory Information Management System. This work comprises five chapters in the lights of its framework and hierarchy, here all of the parts are discussed respectively as following. First, in chapter one, three revolutions of chemical analysis and the importance of LIMS are reviewed, and the applications of the system are illustrated. Then, the background and value of this work are discussed in brief.Next, there are three parts in the chapter two. In the first part, the characteristics and implementation mechanism of LIMS are introduced in details. In the second part, the technology of distributed objects is discussed , such as COM > CORE A and EJB. In the third part, the application of Quality Control System is summarized. In the chapter three, the important technologies in LIMS are analyzed, such as visual equipments' technology^ the technology of interchanging between laboratory data and processing data> unified chromatography data style technology and web system of Browser / Server.In the chapter four, the designing of LEMS with UML is introduced in details. The realization of Browser/Server strategies will be seen in this chapter.In the last chapter, all of the work in the dissertation is summed up systematically. In the same time, some trends that are iull of promises, are proposed to the development of Laboratory InformationManagement System.
