With the popularization of application of computer network and development of telecommunication and computer technology, Authentication/Accounting Server of Network Access Server (NAS) becomes an important part of remote access device. The paper presents brief introduction to the architecture, the way to construction and technical specification of Authentication/Accounting System. Detailed illustrations are given regarding current RADIUS protocol used in Remote Authentication Dial In User Service. Based on all the above, the paper mainly describes the designing ideas and realization of the module of the Authentication and Accounting on the system of SP3ONAS system. The system is implemented on architecture of acceptance separated and administration concentrated and it is developed by VC++6.O.The project puts up good performance in simulating environment. The total NAS system of Xi抋n Datang Telephone, Authentication/Accounting System included, has been passed the authentication of Division of Information Industrial and been granted the right to access telecom net. Now, some ISP has chosen it and put it in use.
