According to a fact research, this paper discussed the methodology of constructing amodel of Enterprise resource planning system (ERP) in using COM/DCOM (componentobject model/distributed component object model) technology. Also the author give themethod of implementing the model.The paper discusses the merits and limits on OOA and OOD and the strategy ofdesignation and implementation the component object model of ERP. A modified Usecase in constricting the system's OOA model is proposed. Also a method of combiningthe sale order and purchase order in one entity and combining all bills used for recordingthe material flowing in one class bill are proposed. The system is based on windows9xand windows NT platform, and implemented with Delphi, Visual Basic, and Visual C++,Microsoft MTS and SQL-Server. Not only sale order management, purchase ordermanagement, planning management, inventory management and accounting managementis implemented, the applications of multi-factory also can be supported by the system. Because the system's business tier is composed by COM/DCOM components, the systemcan be distributed in networks and it can be maintained easily, also have more scalabilityand ability of expansion in function.
