The monitoring system applies to many aspects of the software engineering and plays an important role of the industrial mass production. The monitoring system is developing quickly in recent years. The demostic enterprises have been making great progress in the aspect of monitoring system. However, the imbalance of the development in the demostic industrial monitoring is represented as follows: On one hand, the hardware of the industrial monitoring completely meets the international requirement. On the other hand, the design of the monitoring system comes across the development bottleneck and falls behind the advanced skills in the foreign countries. Because of the lack of the complete and standard design methods, the design of the demostic monitoring system is not advanced in the aspect of controlling precision and controlling effect, which also limits the capability to complete an complicated large-scale monitoring system.Based on the analysis of the research and development (R&D) process of the current demostic monitoring system, there exist the following problems in the R&D process: High cost of the software R&D, low reusage, delayed delivery of software, no gurantee of software quality. The main reason is that, in the current R&D project, the programming of the source codes consumes a large amount of time in the R&D process and the interminable on-site debugging even costs more time and more labor, which causes that most projects cannot be accomplished on time and the cost is usually more than the budget. The introductions of the object-oriented and component-based design philosophy into the design of the monitoring system change the traditional top-down design process to the bottom-up. The controlling object is abstracted as the category conception in the object-oriented design philosophy and the controlling process as the interaction between objects. The product functions are divided into components from the angle of engineering. The categories of the monitoring system are encapsulated based on the establishment of components. The independence of the components makes the sharing of the components in different applications possible. The component technology makes the monitoring system capable of applying to various hardware systems and easy to generate a series of related documents.
