Realization For A OLAP System With B/S Structure

OLAP(On Line Analytical Processing)is a decision support tool based on Data Warehouse. Some main external manufacturers all provided their settlements and products of Data Warehouse and OLAP. As concerned some questions and especial requirements of internal users, this thesis designed and realized an OLAP system with B/S structure after deep researched for Data Warehouse and OLAP. The main achievement of this thesis include the following aspects:OLAP modeling and managing tools is designed and developed, which provides graphics interface for users, creating OLAP analyze model and build it physically, managing and maintaining OLAP cube.The difference of physical schema is shielded for users through semantic objects who can manipulate their familiar semantic objects, and then obtain analytical results .Several key technologies which affect OLAP sever efficiency are researched, and relevant ways and means are given to resolve them. 4) B/S structure which has three layers is adopted in this system, whose advantages is used to make up disadvantages of C/S structure. This structure is flexible and convenient for users, and is more suit to practical requirements. Furthermore, this system is universal and extensible in which analysis of OLAP can obtain data from Data Warehouse, Multidimensional database and OLTP database which can be build on different DBMS.
