This paper is devoted to the development of the project subcontract management of EPC in Kunming Engineering Corporation Limited (KHIDI). Project subcontract management plays an important role in EPC. It is as important as schedule management, quality management, cost management and information management. It impacts directly on the implementation of a construction project.Based on the deep analysis of the domestic related research about the status, problems and the development trend of the subcontract management of EPC, and taking the practice of EPC in KHIDI as an example, the scope of the project subcontract management in this paper is divided into four sectors:EPC task decomposition, subcontract management, subcontract execution management and subcontract project acceptance management, they are regarded as the four basic services, which are supported by comprehensive information management and system management. On account of this theory and combined with several existing processes, the methods of optimization through the research is offered. After that, the system functional requirements are displayed through the diagrams and the use case descriptions. Based on the use case analysis, the function structures of the system is analyzed, and the contractor sub diagram and package diagrams are also put forward. Besides, in this paper the data of the system is analyzed, and the system’s data demands are explained by thumbnails, and then the relationship between data entities is analyzed, and the design of the data table is given.The research provides a realistic guidance for the improvement of EPC subcontract Management in KHIDI and prepares for the informationization of the subcontract management of KHIDI.
