Research On Institutionalization Of Network Political Participation

With the rapid development of the internet technology, the network political participation has become an important way for our citizens to participate in politics. It refers to the process that netizens or network communities carry out a series of activities on the net in order to affect or even change the government’s decisions,and eventually uphold their interests. As a new form of political participation in the information age, the network political participation has directly affected the process of democratic politics and has become an indispensable important component of democratic politics.Network political participation is of great significance in widening the channels of political participation,improving the efficiency of political participation,improving the quality of political participation and raising the awareness and capacity of political participation of the citizens. Besides,it has greatly promoted the development of political democratization,making the citizens,political participation reach a new level in width, depth and validity.As we know,every coin has two sides. Due to the lack of supervisions and regulations,network political participation has exerted negative effects,such as the imbalance development of network political participation,the wide spreading of rumors on the net,the enlargement of non-normative and irrational network political participation and the difficulty in controlling network political participation. All of negative effects can undermine the mainstream ideology,challenge the Party’s ruling position,pose threats to social stability and hinder the healthy development of political democratization. Therefore, it is necessary to take some corresponding measures for a certain adjustment,and any single measure is very difficult to take effect. So we must take technical,legal and cultural and other means at the same time to ensure that the online political participation could move forward in a healthy and scientific way.
