Research On Chinese Bbs Network Political Participation Form

At the present, with the development and popularization of the Internet technology, the network forum has become an important distribution center of the folk wisdom and a powerful platform which is the protection of the public right to know and the right of speech. The advantages of low cost, high efficiency and conveniency attract a number of Internet users to exchange on this platform. It seems logical that the network forum has become the cradle of public opinion, and the typical of network politics which plays a fundamental role in political consultation has been formed.Base on the results of previous researchers, from the macroscopic perspectives of communication theories, politics and sociology, this thesis mainly focuses on the form of network political participation. This thesis consists of four parts:chapter one makes a through review of research on the theory of the network platform at home, and introduces the research emphasis of this thesis; chapter two analyzes the theories of public sphere by Habermas and Carnival Theory by Bakhtin, and proposes that network forum combines the properties of both public sphere and Carnival square; chapter three introduces the current situation and types of network forum in our country, and defines the connotation and characteristics of this kind of network forum which is a typical form of network political participation; chapter four and chapter five is the center part of this thesis. This thesis chooses material from Forum of Make the Nation Strong and Skyline by-talk which have the same characteristic, and a quantitative analysis is conducted to investigate their commons and differences from the angles of traffic, the amount of replies, areas of concern, the degree of agenda setting, discussion forum atmosphere, expression of interests. As a result, these two material is considered as "same but different, different but same". The Forum of Make the Nation Strong places extra emphasis on official public domain, and adopts "top-down" political form of participation. While Skyline by-talk focuses on free "Carnival Square" which adopts "down-top" political form of participation. However, network forum provides a public space of freedom of expression for the general public and a channel reacting the feelings of public opinion, which has an important value and great significance for construction of Deliberative Democracy.
