Research On Operation Management System (SOM) Optimization Of Shanghai Shenhuo Aluminum Foil Co., Ltd

Shanghai Shenhuo Aluminium Foil Co., Ltd, located in Shanghai Kangqiao Industrial District, is an enterprise specializing in the production of high-precision double zero aluminum foil, and has gone into operation in January2007. Since the production started, the company has introduced the system certification of ISO9001, ISO14001and OHSAS18001, established the management system of Q-EHS by financing, and at the same time, developed the information management system of SOM (Shenhuo Operation Management) together with Yongyou Ltd in order to consolidate the management procedures, share process information efficiently, and to quantify value analysis. The SOM was put into operation2008; however, with the development of business, the changes of process and the design flaws of SOM itself, SOM was unable to meet the work requirements any more. As a result, the company decided to upgrade the original system in2011in order to meet the needs of the development of company’s business.This article describes the function and structure of the SOM system, which includes the managerial function of operation forecasts beginning with the demand forecast, the managerial function of order evaluation starting with the demand information, the function of production planning and process starting with the order confirmation, the function of purchase evaluation, management module and warehouse management beginning with the purchasing requisition, the managerial functions of sales settlement and shipping, the write-off of settlement amount and payment and collection starting with orders, the function of dealing with quality disconformity starting with customer complaints, the import function of SOM’s cost documents to U8, and various functions of statements.The awareness problem encountered by different classes of employees while the system of SOM being applied, the problem of employees’ behaviors and habits, the problem of the changes of organizational structure due to the implementation of SOM, the problem of the design of the system, and the problem of the requirements of SOM resulted from new equipment will be analyzed by SWOT model and the value chain analysis method learned from EMBA courses. This report will propose the solution to prompt the efficiency of system operation, the solution of writing off sales settlement by reporting an aged analysis, the operation solution of optimizing rolling plan, the management program of increasing purchase outside, the management program of new thin shear slitter process, and the program of optimizing statements. In addition, supports will be offered in terms of organizational changes and performance incentives during implementation. This report will offer solutions to upgrade and optimize the SOM, and it is justified that the new upgrading program has achieved the desired objectives, and has promoted the company’s yield and operation performance.The report did not conduct in-depth research into the SOM’s contribution to the value of the company, which will be improved and supplemented in pending future.
