As the main core equipment in the product line of aluminum foil, the aluminum foil rewinder is a key determinant of product quality and production efficiency. Production efficiency of aluminum foil rewinder and surface quality of aluminum product detected by the aluminum foil industry’s attention. Design an automated aluminum foil rewinder and the corresponding test equipment have become a major business goal. Aiming at vibration caused by the operation of aluminum foil rewinder and rapid wear of the core components, the motion simulation analysis and optimization of the rewinder spindle assembly toppings carried out in this paper. Aiming at fast, accuracy and real-time requirements of aluminum foil surface defect detection, a method integrated theory with experiment is adopted to study aluminum foil surface defect detection algorithm. The main contents of this paper include:The 3D modeling of aluminum foil rewinder is made based on master model technology. The kinematics modeling of aluminum foil rewinder ejector mandrel assembly carried out based on the theory of kinematics. The optimization of core components is made to solve vibration caused by the operation of aluminum foil rewinder and rapid wear of the core components.Aiming at the problems of noise interference and motion blur in the process of obtaining aluminum foil image by CCD camera, de-noising, blurred image restoration and other image preprocessing algorithm is studied. It obtains the optimal algorithm of de-noising and solves the problem of de-noising by comparing the results of traditional de-noising algorithm and wavelet packet de-noising algorithm. The parametric Wiener filter is proposed on the basis of the Wiener filter to solve the problem of motion blurring.Aiming at defect feature extraction for aluminum foil surface, a suitable foil dirty block defect detection algorithm is chosen by comparing treatment effect of the traditional edge detection algorithms and edge extraction algorithm based on lifting wavelet. Scratches defect detection algorithm has been studied and edge surface defects feature has been obtained through these algorithms. The morphological analysis algorithm is adopted on the basis of blob algorithm to determine the defect parameters. The fast, accuracy and real-time requirements of aluminum foil surface defect detection has been verified through experiment. The defect detection system suitable for rewinder’s maximum speed is determined at last.
