The aluminum industry is the metallurgical industry process with the highest energy consumption per unit in our country at the moment. As essential raw and processed material, it plays an important role in the process of economic development by means of the optimization of production process and technological innovation of control and management. At present a lot of aluminum production enterprises set the maximum production as the goal simply, and the rate of resource utilization is not improved in essence. Due to the scheduling scheme couldn't reach the global optimal effect usually, it has made much waste of energy. Therefore, it is supposed to research aluminum industrial production scheduling framework, and develop the optimal scheduling platform system which is suited to China's aluminum industrial production. The system can allocate resources efficiently and use production equipment reasonably, which can realize the unity of economic efficiency and energy consumption of enterprises, so it has important practical significance to the development of aluminum industry.This paper has done some research with the background of the project called the research on the methods of process industry's pattern recognition, energy consumption optimization and scheduling, which is a part of the key national natural science fund project: the research on theories and methods of the non-ferrous metallurgical process control for energy saving and consumption reducing (Project number: 60634020). According to optimization scheduling control problem of production process, this paper puts forward the intelligent scheduling platform system structure of aluminum industrial production based on multi-agent technology and virtual enterprise concept, and develop and realize the scheduling system preliminarily. The mainly works are as follows:(1) This paper studies on the whole production process flow of the aluminum industry, and divide it to four main production stages: ore proportioning, production of alumina, aluminum electrolysis and aluminum fabrication. Each production stage is abstracted for production scheduling agent by the agent technology, and built as the supply chain alliance of virtual enterprise. Through connecting the agents to mesh structure, this paper establishes system structure of the aluminum industrial production intelligent scheduling platform(2) This paper systematically analyzes the general structure and main function of production scheduling agent, and researches its working mechanism in detail. Each production scheduling agent can not only complete the corresponding local production process optimization scheduling, but also complete the whole process optimization scheduling in aluminum industry production by organizing and coordinating other agents as virtual enterprise champion. (3) Based on the research in the platform system structure, this paper researches the scheduling mechanism of the whole process in aluminum industry production, and introduces the optimization scheduling model. According to its characteristics, using the interactions of agents and the evolution mechanism of PSO, this paper presents a Multi-Agent Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (MPSO) creatively. And the feasibility of scheduling mechanism and high efficiency of the algorithm has been verified by simulation tests.(4) This paper researches and develops the scheduling system software which is suited to aluminum industrial practical production, and introduces the design method of the corresponding man-machine interface, database and model-algorithm library. Through to the software performance test and analysis, the result shows that it can make a performance optimization on the production plan, energy management and material distribution in the whole industrial process. It focuses on energy saving and improving energy efficiency, so it has definitely directive meaning for the optimizing organization and operating management in the aluminum industrial production.
