The80’s of the last century, host program was arising in our country, together with itwas the role of host who was active on the TV screen. Some hosts are remembered by TVaudiences and familiar with the people of whole country because of their charm of personality,thus becoming “Star” host. In the area of communication, the host is a mass transfer, theaudience is a receiver, and they are both ends of the communication process. Host plays acrucial role of the process to disseminate information to the public. Since the emergence ofhost, the discussion and research of its professional nature have never ceased, as the lateCommunication University of China Professor Zhang Song’s research on standardization ofthe language, and so on, is more about research and analysis of the content in thebroadcasting system. The difference between television host and radio host lies in the totalpresentation of image; however, research on the issue of image communication is verylimited.As the United States cultural researchers and media critic Neil Postman says,"Ourpolitic, religion, news, sports, education and business are willing to become entertainmentclient, without complaint, even silent, the result is that we become a recreational species todie." In recent years, the development of China’s TV entertainment program is in its heyday,stronghold such as Happy Camp、Day Day Up、 I Love To Remember Lyrics and otherentertainment programs occupy a large TV’s main period, with its symbiosis of longentertainment program hosts are active among the audience’s perspective, become the "stars"who are well known among people. This article is based on the big background ofentertainment in full swing development, theory links reality, a systematic study and analysisof the image of famous entertainment female hosts, try to explore the causes of theirformation, audiences identity and its social impact, identify problems and deficiencies, and tomake appropriate recommendations and solutions.
