A Study On The Effect Of "Xishuangbanna Dai Newspaper" On Dai Culture Inheritance

Dai is a nation with a long history, is so far the number of minorities among ournational culture to retain a more complete one nation. They have their own languageand script, walking in the Dai region can be seen everywhere strong ethniccharacteristics. China’s Dai mainly distributed in Yunnan Dehong region and theXishuangbanna region. As Dai historical development and cultural prosperity, as wellas close ties with Southeast Asian country’s culture has always been the focus ofscholars.With the development of the mass media and the trend of globalization in recentyears, various nations around the world are in a certain extent, by the influence andimpact.The mass media has a function of socio-cultural heritage, for ethnic minoritylanguage newspaper, must shoulder the responsibilities of the national culturalheritage.In this paper,"Xishuangbanna Dai language newspaper" as an example ofnational language newspaper of national cultural heritage effect. First, combined withthe spread of the Dai People Cultural History of the Xishuangbanna Dai region’straditional mode of transmission of the sort, they maintain Dai traditional societyplayed an important role. Secondly, the use of stratified sampling methods, throughquestionnaires and interviews on the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture ofthree counties and one city Dai village to investigate. Frequency of reading on theaudience, reading purposes, and Dai cultural contacts were analyzed. On the basis ofthese data, content and form from two aspects, combined with relevant theoreticalexplanations reported on Dai Dai Dai cultural phenomenon as well as members of thecommunity structure of consciousness. Dai report concludes with the traditionalcultural and historical heritage shoulder the historic mission, and for the futuredirection of Dai reported to give my personal opinion.
