The Web Gis A Gps-based Data Integration Service Platform For The Design And Realization

Based on a detailed study into corporate information systems and their downstream logistics providers GPS (Global Positioning System) monitoring systems, this article analyses the problems of enterprises lacking methods to monitor the positions of downstream logistics service providers and schedule their work. With the help of relevant technologies of data integration and Web GIS (Geographic Information System), it comes up with a structure of data integration for the monitoring systems of the downstream logistics providers GPS, and a model for the integration with corporate information systems. Using the Web GIS-based GPS data integration platform, this technology successfully integrates the GPS monitoring data of various downstream logistics providers into one system. It also enables services such as real-time positioning, transportation work scheduling, monitoring and analysis for corporate information systems.This article first discusses the current needs and situation of a corporate information system related to positioning and work scheduling, as well as its downstream logistics providers GPS monitoring system, and then analyses the feasibility of establishing a GPS data integration platform. It designs the overall structure and the core sub-system of the GPS data integration platform, based on the analysis of the relevant needs and situation, and with the help of related software development technologies including J2EE, Web GIS and mobi le communication. As a focus topic, it discusses in detail how to schedule work usi ng Web GIS technology. Lastly, the article refers to the current application of GPS data integration platforms and their insufficiencies.
