User-oriented College Library Personalized Information Services Research

In the internet era, the users'information requirements present diversification and personalized trend in the higher vocational college library. There is strategic importance to give full play to the functions of the higher vocational college library to cope with challenges from the modern information environments and meet the information requirements of library users. This paper combines personalized information service with the construction of the higher vocational college library, provides clear train of thought to the personalized information service in the higher vocational college library, and puts forward effective methods for the personalized information service based the concrete case Inner Mongolia Vocational College of Architecture.The first chapter is the introduction to the research, in which we analyze the research background and research significance, review the research status at home and abroad, and also provide the research aims and the concrete research methods.Chapter 2 gives the location and the feature of the information demand in the higher vocational college library. It explains the location from five aspects which include service theory, service object, collection characteristics, composition of trained personnel and personalized information service. It also analyzes the information demand characteristic of four groups which include the staff in the administrative department and the auxiliary department, the information requirements of combining production, teaching and research in the higher vocational colleges, and elaborates on the interactive between the subject construction and the information service construction in those construction colleges.Then in Chapter 3 and 4, it explains the meaning, feature and significance of the personalized information service in the higher vocational college library, the status and existing problems of the personalized information service system. At last it introduces the technology and models of the personalized information service.In Chapter 5 we check into the case, the library of the Inner Mongolia Vocational College of Architecture, we seek for the status of the information service and research its existing problems. After the case analysis we provide countermeasures to the user-oriented personalized information service, mainly from three aspects that include management mechanism, service models and the construction of the digital information resources. In Chapter7 we summarize the conclusion and innovation point, and explain the research limitations and outlook briefly.It is an inevitable choice to meet the users'information requirement to realize the personalized information service in the library. The higher vocational college library must try to make up user-centric personalized information service systems with industry characteristics by establishing featured database, digital reference service model, subject gateway service model, personalized active pushing service model, subject librarian system, developing free network resource information navigation database and issues retrieval service, and other service models.
