Workflow-based Operation Management System

With the continuous development of computer technology, the three telecom operators have been more mature in the infrastructural construction of infomatization. The major operating companies begin to consider how to effectively manage such a huge IT infrastructure and related maintainer,how to make full use of existing human resources and improve the current situation of recurring obstacles and out of joint between departments when they solve problems by advanced management instrument and methods. In this case, the telecommunications companies require to construct the operation management system which integrates the resource management, operation monitoring, work list management and management of being on duty and represents network maintenance in procedure.Currently, ITIL has become the international standard of IT service management. Based on the recommendations from ITIL to IT services and combined with the telecommunications company's actual business needs, this article introduces the detailed design of operation management system in telecommunications company and after investigation of the current situation it proposed a workflow-based operation and maintenance system which provide a integrated operation and maintenance management of resource management, task management, work order processing, network operating condition monitoring, duty management. The system also provides the mechanism of automated alerts and reminders of the task and realize the function to remind the user to view and handle new tasks and to alarm faults. Development of this system will have a positive meaning to the telecommunications company's informatization construction.
