With the era of 3G networks, the wireless network environment improve greatly, smart home system can rely on the speed advantages of 3G networks to develop more functionality, so that smart home remote control from local control to change.Linux OS has many advantages including tailoring and high stability. It has become a mainstream operating system in embedded field, and the characteristics of open source has attracted many developers and vendor support. Because of good performance accounted for most of the electronics consumer market, ARM processor chip has become the leader in embedded field. More and more people use the Linux operating system and the combination of ARM chips as development plat. We can also deal with ARM and the advantages of Linux for development in the the system.This paper takes the 3G technology advantages in the smart home system. In our system we use the ARM processer as the main CPU, use at89c52 as the co-processors. Write software based on Linux OS. Finally get the system remote control, video surveillance and alarm systems. The main contents are:1. Presents a algorithm that can be carried out image data under harsh conditions. Analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of two different programs and scope of application;2. Make the different hardware connected together to form the hardware system, and analyze the role of each part of the hardware and principles;3. The custom protocol for each different system of communication between functional modules. Write Java software for mobile phones to implement the client's control;4. Solve the problems arising from multiple users.
