Abstract/Summary:
With people's pursuit of modern life and increasing demand for information, Smart Home has been developed rapidly. As a key technology of Smart Home System, video and audio surveillance has got more and more attention. With the continues develop of embedded and network technology, video and audio surveillance based on embedded technology and network technology will replace the traditional way of monitoring and play an important role in addressing the issue of video and audio communications of Smart Home System.In the environment of Smart Home, we design the video and audio surveillance system based on Home Intelligent Gateway,audio and video server of network and monitoring client. Based on the hardware platform of OMAP3530 dual-core CPU, and built on embedded Linux2.6 kernel and file system, the design has completed real-time video image capture, local shows and the basic function of audio and video server of network by researching the video codec technology and network transmission technology.First ,this paper introduces the research situation and development trend of the video surveillance at home and abroad. And the next, according to audio and video communication program, the paper discusses the network transmission codec of H.264,audio codec named AAC and video transport protocol of RTP/RTCP. According to the characteristics of the selected hardware platform, the video communications in smart program has been proposed to solve, including a software development platform and video development platform DVSDK , and the video image acquisition and display based on v4l2 driver, the audio acquisition based on V4L2 driver ,the network audio and video server establishing and communication module based on RTP / RTCP protocol . At the end of the paper, the complete contents of the system are summarized, and suggestions to improve the program are proposed.
