With the continuous high-tech development, modern people are leading a moreintelligent and fashionable life. The control modes of household appliances are alsodiversified. Household appliances control by users in traditional mode is typicallyrealized within a limited distance, but realization of remote control and monitoring&management by combining household appliances with Internet technology has becomea research hotspot for modern household control system. Based on this background, thisdissertation develops and designs a set of smart home gateway systems relying on asmart home project in internship and based on dynamic web technology JSP.The dissertation first describes the status quo of smart home at home and abroad,then analyzes the existing technologies, and finally determines the hardware platform touse ARM processor as the core in master controller, and external extended network chipas the system; at the same time, it explains building a software platform by theoperating system application of Linux and transplanting of Jamvm, Winstone, Sqlite,Mjpg-streamer and other open source software. Development and design of the system,based on software engineering theory, go through four phases, namely, demand analysis,outline design, detailed design, and testing. The project follows the thought ofmodularization development, and achieves low coupling between modules and highcohesion of internal module functions, which is conducive to follow-up upgrades andmaintenance of the system. Unit testing, integration testing, performance testing andother testing techniques are applied to conduct comprehensive test, thus ensuring thereliability and stability of the system in testing phase. The dissertation completes theanalysis of system combining with data flow diagram and program flowchart and otherdemonstration means, showing the system’s core code, hardware block diagram, andcommunication protocol frame structure.The dissertation accomplishes program design of master controller in smart homegateway system, and hardware design of lighting control unit, switch control unit, andtemperature and humidity acquisition unit. Remote lighting control, electrical switchescontrol, environmental parameters monitoring and alarm, video surveillance and other functions are realized. Tests are performed to verify the stability and usability of smarthome gateway system and reach the target of designed topic.
