Research And Implementation Of Remote Monitoring System Of Home Appliances Based On E-mail

With the rapid development of computer technology, communication technology and Internet technology, people are increasingly relying on technology to pursue their life with high efficiency and high quality. In the field of home, the requirements of smart home and the remote monitoring of home appliances are getting stronger and stronger, therefore the embedded remote monitoring technology will have a wilder application prospect. It is easily for appliances and other information-based products to access network since the development of embedded Internet technology, users can access and control the devices through the network. The embedded internet technology has become one of the most important technology in the field of remote monitoring of home appliances, the technology is also the main focus of this paper.Currently in the field of monitoring of home appliances, embedded Internet technology is commonly base on Web. The user needs the Web client to access and control home appliances. That approach requires monitoring systems to run Web server and use a fixed public IP address, and some monitoring systems requires home appliances with networking capabilities.In order to overcome the current shortcomings of monitoring system, this paper proposes a E-mail-based remote monitoring system of home appliances. This method can implement the remote monitoring function for traditional home appliances. The main contents of this paper include construction of Linux-based platform, the design of E-mail-based remote control protocol, the design of Web-based user configuration module and the design of infrared remote control. In this paper, we use integrated board with S3C2410 microprocessor as hardware platform, and use embedded Linux operating system as software platform. On this basis, we use E-mail protocol to implement the function of remote controlled. At the same time, we combined with infrared remote control module and the image acquisition module to implement remote monitoring for home appliances. In addition, through setting up Web server with B/S network structure on the platform, we can implement the local configuration capabilities of the appliance monitoring platform.The E-mail-based remote monitoring system of home appliances set network remote control, infrared remote control, USB-camera monitoring, Web configuration interface and other functions in one. In the case of do not have public IP and don't need to modify the appliance circuit, home users can use E-mail clients to achieve remote monitoring of home appliances.
