With the improvement of people's living standard, the requirement of home environment is also increasing. The emergence of smart home meets the needs of people. Independent electrical products are connected intelligently in the smart home system. Therefore the system could provide comprehensive information exchange capabilities to improve the living environment and quality of life.For the purpose of enhancing convenience and safety of home life, the smart home system based on ARM and video surveillance is designed in this research. The function of the system includes remote operating, sound and light alarm, SMS alarm, video surveillance, etc. The proposed system has practical value in reliability and real-time and other aspects. Details of the thesis are as follows:Firstly, the development history and research status of smart home are illustrated. The key technologies, for instance, ARM embedded technology, video surveillance technology, as well as the video surveillance technology in the application of fire detection based on image processing are outlined.Secondly, the hardware of smart home control system is designed. The detailed design of core-board, power supply, LED Power, motor drive,serialcommunication, reset system, USB interface, human-computer interaction and other hardware circuits is given.After that, the software of smart home control system is designed. Under the software development environment of EVC, PB and according to S3C2440A programming system, the software program of physical layer is written. WinCE operating system is transplanted to S3C2440. The application software of wireless communication, motion control and interface display etc are designed. In addition, under the software development environment of KEIL and according to C8051 Kernel structure, the application software program of wireless communication, sound and light alarm, motor control etc were applied.Finally, by studying the video surveillance technology based on image processing in the application of fire detection and the basic characteristics of fire image, a new method of fire detection based on Video surveillance is proposed. First, it segments the image of suspected fire through the threshold-based segmentation algorithm. Then, according to the dynamic characteristics of the flame, an algorithm based on edge detection is engaged to determine whether there is fire. Experimental result shows that the proposed identification algorithm is effective in detecting fire.The smart home system proposed in this research could meet users'requirements of intelligent and convenient home environment. It could detect fire accurately and promptly so as to protect domestic security. |
