The cold roll forming material is kind of economical thin-walled steel.It has reasonale cross-section structure,accurate geometry dimension and variety kinds. For all these reasons, cold roll-forming material has been widely used in many fields. With the development of roll-forming technology, studying on the on-line cutting off technology has become more and more important in improving the production efficiency,reducing material waste and perfecting the quality.Currently,many roll forming companies of China are still using the traditional flying saw as on-line cutting machine.This kind of cutting device always has low accuracy and short machinery life.Besides,the cut frequency is slow, the anti-jamming ability is poor,the cut-off surface is bad.For all these reasons,it has greatly influence the profile processing enterprise's production effiency and product quality.This paper make a further research on on-line cutting system for roll forming material. A kind of arc trajectory tracking scheme is designed in this paper. This scheme select the servo motor,ball screw and linear guide as the transmission exeutive parts,it can change the arc trajectory by adjusting the mould's angle. This subject adopts the hydraulic punching mould to do the cutting task, the cut off power supply adopts hydraulic system. The digital servo system based on PLC is designed as the control system. This paper designs the hardware system and the software program.The increment photoelectric encoder is designed to detect system's signal.The subject does the theory analysis of both half-closed and closed loop control system ,and does the basic study on fuzzy PID control.The touch screen is designed to monitor and display date information. In the last of paper introduce the commissioning and experiment for the cutting system based the above theory.The experiment results showes that the system runs stably, the cutting accurary is±0.5mm,the highest cutting frequency can reach 1 times per second.
