The content of this subject is about the electric design of audion automatic handler. Discrete automatic handler is set of light, mechanical and electrical technology in the semiconductor production of specialized equipment. It applies to IC and discrete producing process. The process is automatic testing (with tester) and selection the IC and discrete by different parameter to separate the productions by quality. Currently, in the semiconductor field, there are many different suppliers for handler, such as Tesec from Japan. And also there are many local suppliers Juelong, Yuxin etc. The price for foreign equipment and spare parts is high; and the lead time for foreign spare parts is quite long. But there is still distance for the design and manufacturing process between local and foreign equipment. The local equipment is not stable enough. Now the company is considering the cost reduction and process improvement. To achieve the throughput by improve efficiency, the equipment need to be improved with technology. Overall, we would like to improve the design and manufacturing processing base on the Japan equipment.We collect the advantages of different handler manufactures by investigating different handlers in the market. We constitute several proposals for mechanical and electric control, and select the best one.I analyze the working principle and test system of handler in the paper. And I design the electrical drawings, and also the drawings for each part. The software of the system is designed briefly.Based on CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device),that is high-performance, highly integrated, repeatable modification and cost-effective advantages, as well as comprehensive development tools and IP cores, macro function library and other features. So, this time we write the program by using the CPLD and VHAL language to simplify the circuit. Above all, I explain the comparison between the cylinder and stepper motor indetail to find the best proposal. I clarify below questions in the paper:1. how to code and select the coding disk 2. the sensor for motor position3. how to short the path of motor4. how to design the motor controlIn addition, this paper also presents the software design of the system, including various function module .
