In order to upgrade domestic avionics systems with Fibre Channel, and break the monopoly of foreign technology, we need to develop the FC protocol chips or the corresponding IP cores with independent intellectual property rights, which has a far-reaching and important economic value and political significance on the development of the next generation of internal military aviation data bus.Through the deep analysis of Fibre Channel protocols, the paper realized the FC-AE interface card system on a FPGA by using SOPC technology. Data transmission and reception functions on frame-based level were coded by Verilog hardware description language, and the hardware design was hanged to the PLB bus as a customized IP core by using an IPIF interface module. IP core drivers and sequences and exchanges management functions were coded by C software language. The information exchange between hardware and software can be implemented via the shared memories and registers. We used Spartan 3E series FPGA provided by Xilinx company as the development platform, adopted EDK tools as the embedded development kit, simulated and debugged the whole design with Modelsim and Chipscope tools. The test results indicate that the system is correct and reliable in work, and can meet the desired requirements.
